PC has not updated itself since 9 January 2013. Today attempts to force
an update result in:

Error code 80072F8F

This announces itself as an unknown error!

The usual recovery is to correct the PC's clock - but it is correct.

Then the resolution for earlier operating systems was to stop the update
service, hide the %SystemRoot%\SoftwareDistribution folder by renaming
it, then restart the update service. I've not seen this documented for
Windows 7, but whatever, it fails.

Anybody else seen this?

Other PCs on the same LAN update themselves correctly.
